CHANGE PASSWORD

  1. Open the website of Information Portal (Website Address-www.cummins.informationportal.biz)
  2. Click on “Change Password”.
  3. Enter your current Password against “Current Password”.
  4. Enter any Password of your choice against “New Password”.
  5. Enter the same new Password against “Confirm Password”.
  6. Click on “Submit”.



2. How to register new user?                                                      Top

REGISTRATION PROCESS (SIGN UP) FOR A NEW USER

  1. Open the website of Information Portal (Website Address-www.cummins.informationportal.biz)
  2. Click on “Registration for a new user”
  3. Fill the required information in the Registration Form.
  4. Click on “Submit”.
  5. The system will issue a DUMMY PASSWORD for you, which will be communicated on your e-Mail ID which you have provided in the Registration Form.
  6. You have copy the User ID and Password from the e-Mail received from the system and paste in the login window of Information Portal.
  7. Click on Submit.
  8. New Screen will appear for changing the password.
  9. Enter the DUMMY PASSWORD provided by the system against “Current Password”.
  10. Enter the Password of your choice against “New Password”.
  11. Again enter the same new Password against “Confirm Password”.
  12. Click on “Submit”.

 

Note: Your User ID will be same as your Enrollment Number which you enter in the Registration Form.
Enrollment number is:
1. WWID for CSS / CIL Employees
2. Training ID provided by Training Department for Dealership Engineers/Managers
3. Dealer Code for Dealership HODs.



3. How to update user's list of information portal monthly?                                       Top

MONTHLY UPDATES IN THE USERS LIST OF INFORMATION PORTAL (Dealership HODs)

  • Login to Information Portal website.
  • Click on “Assign Rights”
  • List of respective persons will appear who report to you.
  • For the users with status as “NEW”, (Request for new access) verify the information entered by the new user.
  • Accordingly, either click on “Reject” OR “Accept”.
  • For the users with status as “Active”, (Already having access) verify whether those all users are still on roll.
  • Accordingly, either click on “Reject” OR “Accept”.

 

Persons with following designations have to perform the monthly validations:

  • Zonal Managers-For respective Channel Managers and Head CSE’s reporting to them
  • Channel Managers-1. for respective CSS employees reporting to them

                                                  2. for respective Dealerships from their area of operations

  • Dealership HODs-For respective Dealer Engineers / Managers

Note: This validation process must be performed by following persons to:
            1. Continue the access of existing users of Information Portal, who are reporting to them
            2. Approve the registration of a new user.

If this validation is not done, the access of respective reportees will automatically be locked.




4. How to edit my Profile ?                                                                                                                                             Top

Open the website
Enter Login Details
Click on My Profile.
Following fields are visible: Name
                                             e-Mail ID
                                             Phone Number
                                             Mobile Number
                                             Biography
To change the information for any of the above mentioned fields, click on the link below named “Edit Profile”.


5. What is Biography in “My Profile” ?                                                                                                                            Top

Biography is a special feature provided in the “My Profile” Option, where one can upload any special presentations or    special Information related to himself or Related to his Organization.
This Biography will then become visible to the respective user as well as to the administrator at CS&S-Pune.
When such Information is received from most of the users, a new link will be provided on Home Page which will display
   all such Biographies and will be visible to all the users.



6. How to contact Site Administrator ?                                                                                                                            Top

On login Page (also on home page), in "Contact us" menu, select "Write to Technical Cell", fill the information and send.    Refer displayed screen below:-


7. How to Download files from the link "Downloads" ?                                                                                          Top

After Login, on Home page, click on "Download" link on the Top. Refer displayed screen below:                                                                                                                       

Now click on the file you wish to download, after that a "File Download" Dialog Box open asking your confirmation to    download. Click on "Save" button and select the location to download.

  
8. How to find a file which we want by using a keyword (How to use "Search") ?                                                             Top

After login, click on "SEARCH" link provided at the top of home page. Type the keyword which you want to find
   and click on "Search" button. All the files containing your keyword will be listed. As per your requirement, click on the
   suitable file (link). Refer displayed screen below: -


  9. How to access "Service Parts Topics"(SPT) ?                                                                                                                Top

After user login, on the left hand side of the Home page, all the topics are listed. Now for accessing "Service Parts Topics"    (SPT), Click on main topic "Service" which will display its Sub-topics.
Click on the sub-topic "Service Parts Topics" which will display the list of 23 file Groups. Click on the file group to which the    required SPT belongs. This will display the SPT's belonging to that group. Select the required SPT. Refer displayed screen    below.


10. How to access "Field Investigation Reports" (FIR) ?                                                                                                  Top

After user login, on left hand side of the page all the topics are listed. Now for accessing "Field Investigation
   Report" (FIR), Click on main topic "Service" which will display its sub-topics.
Click on the sub-topic "Field Investigation Reports" which displays the list of all the FIR's.
Refer the attached Screen    shot.


11. How to Access "Service Network Maps" ?                                                                                                                 Top

Open the website for information Portal :-www.cummins.informationportal.biz
On the Home Page, bring the cursor to the "Service Network" tab (Available on the Top). This will display a Dropdown
   Box. Click on "CS&S Network Maps" from the Dropdown Box. Refer below attached screen shot.

   

Click on "slide show" (right bottom corner of the screen).
Click on a particular state which will display the map of that state and the Territory covered by each dealership from
    that state.

Click on back arrow to return to the main map.
Click on a particular zone (left top corner) to view zone wise details of dealership and their respective Territories.
To view the location of the CSS Zonal, Area and field offices all over India. Click on "CSS Field Offices".
Click on "Return to Desktop" to the Home Page.


12. How to Access "Service Locator" ?                                                                                                                            Top

Open the Website for information Portal :-   http://cummins.informationportal.biz/www.cummins.informationportal.biz
On the Home Page, Bring the cursor to the "Service Network" tab Available on the Top. This will display a Dropdown
   Box. Click on "Service Locator" from the Dropdown Box. Refer below attached Screen shot.

   

First, select the state from the leftmost Dropdown Box.
Then select the District from the Second Dropdown Box.
This will display the contact details of all the Dealerships in that particular District and the details of respective field
    offices from that region.
To find the contact details of a particular dealership (if the dealership Name is already known), do not select the state
   and the District. directly select the name of the Dealership from the Third Dropdown Box.

This will display the contact details of that particular dealership and the details of the respective CSS offices.


13. About the link "Holset Turbochargers"                                                                                                                   Top

After login, on home page, there is a link called "Holset Turbochargers" on the Right Side.
   "Holset Turbocharger" is an application wherin one gets following information about a required Turbocharger Part    Number.


A) Service Data:
   1. Turbocharger Repair Kit
   2. Actuator Kit
   3. Bracket Kit
   4. CHRA
   5. Turbo HSG Kit

B) Wastegate Data:
   1. Setting Pressure
   2. Setting Lift
   3. ELB
   4. Checking Lit
   5. Bracket Position
   6. SPIG

C) Orientation:
   1. Comp
   2. Turbine

D) Parts Catalog for that Particular Turbocharger.

E) Manual for that Particular Model of Turbocharger.

 For accessing this Application, Click on the link "Holset Turbochargers". A "File Download Box" Dialog Box opens asking    your confirmation to Download.
Click on “Save” button & select the location to Download.
   After downloading, first unzip folder & then run the .exe file from the folder. This will open the Application. Select the    suitable language (English) by clicking on the icon:

 
For accessing the information about the required Turbocharger Part Number, type the subject Part Number in the
   text box provided above the column named as "Holset Turbo".



14. About Topic "Ready Recknor"                                                                                                                                 Top

This topic is collection of all the unique Technical Information that is frequently required by the Field Officers and    Dealerships. For example, the"Specification Book" or the "Wiring Diagrams" or "Kits and Breakups" etc.
For accessing this topic, follow the procedure given below:
After login , on Home Page on left hand side all the topics are listed. Now for accessing topic "Ready Recknor", Click on    main topic "Ready Recknor" which will display its sub-topics. Refer the following Screen shot.



15. How to access "Break-ups & Conversion Kits " ?                                                                                                    Top

After login, on Home Page on left hand side all the topics are listed. Now for accessing topic "Kits, Break-ups".
Click on main topic "Ready Recknor" which will display its sub-topics. Then click on "Kits, Break-ups"
   which will display its sub-topics. From the sub-topics click on "Conversion Kits", which will display sub-topics.

16. How to access "EBR" ?                                                                                                    Top

After Login, on Home Page, Click on the Main Topic "Service" which will dispaly the list of Sub-Topics.
Click on the Sub-Topic "Engine Build Records" which will display two Sub-Topics as follows:
EBR for B Series-Click on this Sub-Topic to view the EBR for a B Series Engine.
Enter the Engine Serial Number in the given Text Box Click on "GO".
   The required EBR will be displayed.

EBR for CIL Make Engines including C Series-Click on this Sub-Topic to view the EBR for a CIL Make Engine..
Enter the Engine Serial Number in the given Text Box Click on "GO".
   The required EBR will be displayed.






17. How to search "EBR" ?                                                                                                   Top

Click on the link named "Search" at the Top of the Home Page.
Enter the Engine Serial Number in the given Text Box."Click on "GO".
At the Top of the list of Search Results, a link named "EBR Information" will be displayed.
Click on this link to view EBR for the given Engine Serial Number.
